New Life Gordonville’s mission in Guatemala

December 2016

Hello, Plain Grove Presbyterian Church!

I just wanted to say thank you for supporting New Life Gordonsville’s mission in Guatemala. Thank you for helping fellow brothers and sisters do what Jesus has called us to do, to love God and love our neighbors. It is so encouraging to see churches come together to meet this goal.

We had a great trip to Guatemala this October. The ground work done in the previous trip was a direct result in what was accomplished during this trip. The people of El Encinal were more receptive to what we had to say this trip after we showed how much we cared about them during the first trip.  We shared the gospel and eight people accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior and five took the next step and got baptized.

Also, I want to mention how grateful the people of El Encinal are for what we have given them. We are in the process of a “Village Transformation”. So far we have given El Encinal clean water for the village during our 2015 trip, and this trip we dedicated new bathrooms and a playground for the school.  We have been praying for the people to be good stewards of what we have given them as we plan to build onto the school this summer.

I have included videos of what we did for every day. Please take a couple minutes to see the faces you helped.

Thanks again,

Luke Garrett

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.””
